Belmont Shore Veterinary Hospital has provided Long Beach area pets and their owners with compassionate, professional care for over 35 years. Our doctors and staff are focused on providing outstanding veterinary care while exceeding expectations of service. We want to make taking great care of your pet as convenient and easy as possible!

Please take advantage of our website. Here you can learn about our services, manage your pet’s health from home, and print out important documents like our client registration form or our drop off form.

We understand how busy you can be, so feel free to fill out any of these forms before your exam time, bring them with you, mail them, or fax them to us! In this way we hope to expedite your visit and keep your wait time to a minimum.

Exciting News at Belmont Shore Veterinary Hospital!

The doctors and staff of Belmont Shore Veterinary Hospital are pleased to announce a new addition. Starting in January of this year, Doctor Dina Legum will be joining our family!

Dr. Legum received her undergraduate degree in microbiology from Colorado State University and went on to graduate from Colorado State University Veterinary School. Raised in Southern California, she returned to the area where she worked for over 15 years in emergency medicine and critical care and then several more years in private practice.

Dr. Legum has lived in Long Beach for almost 20 years. She is married and has two children, Dillon and Lauren; a Mastiff named Bree; two cats, Sally and Alex; and a Cockatoo named Bob.

With the addition of Dr. Legum comes added convenience for you and your pet. We will now have additional appointment times available on Monday and Friday (two of our busiest days for sick pets) and extended afternoon hours on Saturdays. We hope this helps aid you in taking the best possible care of your pets!

Pet Cancer Walk: On November 15th, 2008, members of our staff participated in a K9K Walk for Pet Cancer. We walked to support the Animal Cancer Foundation and helped raise more than $12,000 toward pet cancer research.

This cause holds a special place in our hearts due to the fact that Dr. Sitler’s dog, Tessa Marie, was diagnosed with bone cancer earlier this year.

She is a very special girl. Even after having leg amputation surgery she is still the life of the party.

We walked together with our own pets, including Tessa Marie, who was pulled in her very own wagon!
